Overview

Known as the City of Roses, Taif is famed for its fragrant roses and perfume factories. As Saudi’s summer retreat, it offers a cool escape with highlights like the Souq Okaz festival and the Crown Prince Camel Festival in August. Key attractions include Al Hada Mountain, with its long cable car ride, rose fields, and trails, plus the Al Kar Tourist Village featuring a water park and toboggan slide. Various hotels and resorts reflect Taif’s unique charm.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival to Jeddah

    Arrival at Jeddah airport, after doing all formalities our guide will meet and escort the guests to their air-conditioned vehicle for their transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Jeddah.

  • Day 2: Jeddah Historical Tour

    Begin your exploration of Jeddah’s historical downtown, known as Al-Balad, often referred to as the “Old Town.” This area is renowned for its rich history, having been home to some of the city’s oldest families. Visitors can admire the ancient architecture, browse through the traditional souk, and enjoy a variety of restaurants, all while strolling through the charming streets that showcase the traditional ambiance of the old town.

    This historical tour of Old Town will guide you to several lesser-known yet essential local attractions. You will visit Beit Nassif, make a photo stop at Makkah Gate, and capture images at the Historical Jeddah North Gate. Additionally, you will explore various historical houses that showcase a unique fusion of traditional architecture and modern influences. The tour will also uncover hidden treasures in the Old Market, secret galleries in Old Jeddah, and local food shops that are typically unknown to tourists.

    You will then explore the Al Tayebat International City Museum, which features a complex of various rooms that showcase Saudi history, architecture, interior design, and Islamic art from Saudi Arabia and other Islamic nations. The museum provides an excellent backdrop for photography.

    Conclude the tour with a scenic drive along The New Jeddah Corniche, a 30 km coastal resort area in Jeddah. Situated by the Red Sea, this corniche offers a picturesque coastal road, recreational spaces, pavilions, and impressive civic sculptures, providing ample opportunities for enjoyment and photography.

  • Day 3: Jeddah (Optional Trip to Madina)

    This program provides an extensive exploration of key historical and religious landmarks in Medina, Saudi Arabia. It commences with a tour of Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, known as The Prophet’s Mosque, which was established by Muhammad (PBH). The itinerary then includes visits to Masjid Ad Dar, the location of the Battle of Uhud, Masjid Al Qiblatayn, where the direction of prayer was altered, and the site of the Battle of the Trench. Additional highlights include the Quba Mosque, the as-Salam Gate of Masjid al-Nabawi, Abu Bakr Al Siddiq Road, the picturesque Wadi al-Aqeeq walkway, and it wraps up with a trip to Al-Noor Mall, the largest shopping centre in Medina.

  • Day 4: Jeddah – Excursion to Taif

    Today, after breakfast, embark on a full-day tour to Taif. We shall begin our trek towards the city’s downtown area. Our tour will take us on a nice journey to the magnificent panoramic vista of al Hada Mountain. We’ll travel by a rose farm and a perfume factory. We stop at “Al-Kaki Palace” before returning to the mountains of Taif, which are located over the Al Hatta Mountains above Mecca and on the eastern slopes of the Al Sarawat Mountains. We drive and stop for a customary lunch at one of the good local restaurants. The city of Taif is cool and green. In the summer, Saudis and GCC citizens visit TAIF for its green nature and weather, attractive scenery, and calm atmosphere. Visit the Jebel Daka Mountain and Al Shafa Mountain viewpoints to enjoy the mountains from above. The old stone paths, cars passing through the road from Al Hada, and witnessing the cable car. We then make our way back to the hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Jeddah.

  • Day 5: Jeddah – Departure

    Breakfast in the hotel. Check out from the hotel. Depending on the flight time, transfer to Jeddah airport for your departure.
